    It used to be factor a whilea go, but now its not that important. Although you should avoid stuffing too many keywords.

    Yes, keywords density affects website ranking. If your article is of 2000 words, then your keyword should come two or three times in the article. If you use your keywords more than usual, then it is considered as keyword stuffing. If you do keyword stuffing, Search Engine can penalize your site. To avoid keyword stuffing, you should use LSI keywords Or synonymous keywords.

    Keyword density is the ratio of the number of times a keyword appears on a page divided by the total number of words in that page. For the example, if in an article of 100 words you are using your keyword 10 times, your density will be 10%. Many people use different formulas to calculate keyword density (like this one).

    (Number of keywords/ Total number of words) * 100

    There is no ideal or exact percentage for better ranking.

    Personally, 1-3% of keyword density along with “semantic keywords” and LSI keywords works best for me.
